Laying tile in my account?

I want to put some floors myself. problem is I do not know what to use. Should I use tile adhesive or grout? And what is the difference between the two? Do I have to use spacers for the floor tiles? Is there a method for laying tile, such as where the position of the pictures, because I know that not only start from a corner and build. Is there a difference what product is used for commercial or domestic properties? Thanks guys for your responses. I can not wait to start showing my boyfriend and the final result. I work in a shop floor and have installed everything that happens on the floors. Apartments for sale just now that my body that I like way.
