Suggestions on the best way to clean a tile floor?

We have just moved to a house that has tile floors throughout. We've only been here a week and I feel like I have to wash the floors of ALL days! Mop and bucket in the best way to go? Do not you just leave a lot of soap residue that makes things stick to the plant, which requires the Frequently wash? I'm extremely disappointed with this and really appreciate any serious advice.

I have 1000 square feet of tile, and a FloorMate. I empty frequently, clean, and use the FloorMate to clean entire rooms as needed. For the kitchen floor, in my hands and knees with a bucket occasionally, the FloorMate does not get as clean. No need to buy special formulated FloorMate cleaner, just put about 1 / 2 ounces of ammonia in the water cleaner. A better course of action that daily cleaning is find out where all the dirt and filth is coming. I doormat outside each door and the carpet inside. My children are encouraged to "Stomp, stomp, clean, clean" before entering. I also have a minimum of 8 'clean concrete (porch / patio) between any grass or dirt and a door. This helps the shoes and allow to dry land before the door mat. If your house is brand new, start planning your backyard, and get at served unless the court soon. Concrete can also be useful if you have dogs - usually do not remember to clean your feet! About soap residue - always look for the "no dilution rinse" in the cleaning product label. I prefer plain, cheap ammonia - no perfumes, dyes, or foo-foo others build. The strong fumes - Be sure to dilute the label! May have more tolerance than you do on land, but there are some areas of my tile to get a wash completely once a year. The kitchen area and breakfast table (I have a 3 years!)
