Slate Floor

To clean ceramic tiles is slightly different treatment to wood floors or marble floors. Here are some useful guidelines to clean the tiles ceramic.

SLATE and terrazzo floors can be dust with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner and washed with hot soapy water from soap flakes or detergent. Rinse and dry. If the floor is new, wait at least a week before washing to allow the cement to set. Spills can be cleaned with a damp cloth. A wax finish (any type) can be used to make dark slate floors and bright. Terrazzo floors should not be given unless it is "sealed". If sealed, can be waxed, if desired. If the floor has not been closed, the company SC Johnson recommends their product, Cong-u-dust, sold through janitor supply points.

Unglazed TELES CERAMICS, usually found in bathroom floors are easy to clean, always wipe away spilled medicines, paint or any other substance which can cause a stain. Then visit the place with an abrasive. Unglazed tiles are very absorbent and stains such can penetrate deeply and be very difficult to remove. Tiled floors usually can be kept clean simply wiping with a damp cloth or sponge, or water to which a softener is added. Cleaner powder does not hurt glazed tiles, but must be rinsed and dried in the cement between the tiles but can be applied with steel wool if the floor is very dirty. A sponge MOP cellulose will work effectively in these plants, with a touch up by hand, in some corners. A tiled floors are never waxed.

Paint stains on ceramic OLD unglazed can sometimes be removed with a standard paint remover, or "Bleach Tiles", sold in paint and hardware stores. Follow instructions given to these products, and check the effect of paint remover in an inconspicuous place first. Another method is to soak a cloth thick cotton with hydrogen peroxide and place it on the stain, then cover the fabric first with a second that has been saturated with ammonia water. This is a good bleach. Repeat several times if necessary. Another treatment to paint stains, that is good to combine the ink is also part of trisodium phosphate, one part of sodium perborate, and three parts of talcum powder. Mix these chemicals with strong hot soapy water to form a paste. Apply the paste on the stain, let it dry and then brush it off. You may have to repeat this treatment at least once. Simply moisten the mixture and leave it on the stain. An application of hydrogen peroxide paste between treatments sometimes help.

COMPOSITION FLOORS TELE (made of resin binders and fibers) are non-absorbent and resistant to moisture and stains. Use a dust mop without trying them and mop wet slips clear cold water, for a routine cleaning. For a more complete cleaning use warm water and mild soap or detergent. Rinse with a mop drained clear water. Self-polishing waxes can be used in these plants, or finished MSRP. Do not use petroleum waxes, polish, liquid wax or paste wax, soap strong chemicals, or compounds of radicals. No coat with varnish, lacquer or shellac.

Slate and terrazzo floors can be vacuumed and cleaned with detergent. Glazed ceramic tile for you can use an abrasive powder can also keep it clean by scrubbing lightly with a cloth or sponge. Use the paint remover tile or bleach to remove the old paint is on unglazed ceramic tiles.
