paint glazed ceramic tile

I want to change the color of a tin-glazed ceramic tile.?
What kind of paint should I use to adhere to the suface?
Do not bother with Lowe's or Home Depot. The person on the phone nothing is known of what he is talking and you only have a 50/50 shot for anyone who gets in their paint department that has a clue, either. Tiles will have to sand a little to reduce glare. This is going to take some serious doing, because the crystals of the pictures is very hard. You're not going to sand it off, but just the touch of sanding could be a serious project in itself. coating will be used is an epoxy. That is the only layer that is strong enough for use on tile or accede to the tile first. You want a chemical cure epoxy, not a cure air. A chemically cured epoxy will come with a trigger in a separate container. Mix the two together very well, usually by drilling a mixer, not just a paint palette. The paddle does not mix well enough and you end up with a sticky mess that does not always harden correctly. Use the epoxy in a well ventilated area. Also, beware of the humidity and temperature whenever you decide to implement it. Although the resin is a chemical cure, temperature and humidity can affect the outcome. Talk to someone in your local paint store on the project. They are usually pretty good about walking through things like this or to help decide when to leave it to a professional licensed and bonded.

The striking ceramic known as Talavera is over 800 years old, originating in the Talavera de la Reina region of Spain. At that time, it was called Majolica. Known for its beautiful glaze work, Talavera was imported to Mexico in the 16th century where it was used to decorate monasteries and churches with tiles and religious figures. Talavera is not turned or tin glazed-the pigments are brushed onto raw or unfired glaze. Each piece takes between 12 and 15 days to complete. It must set for 16 to 18 hours before being liquefied and poured into molds. The pieces are then hand polished and fired for six hours at 1500 (F) degrees, then painted and baked again in an 1800 (F) degree oven. Prehispanic Mexican craftsmen blended the majolica process with their own interpretation of the method to work the clays of the region and incorporated their art forms and colors. Their product came to be known as Talavera. We are happy to pay about 20-25% above 'market' value to our artisans in Mexico in order to create a sustainable business for them as well as in the hopes of bringing up the standard of living of the community at large. Unlike other Mexican import companies we specialize in Mexican Talavera. We stand behind our products with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Features
