Installing Ceramic Tiles

how should i go about installing ceramic tile in my bathroom? i live in a trailer that is about 20 years old.?

I live in one, 24 yrs old, and tiled my bath, hall, and kitchen over Plywood. It's working well 3 years now.

Is that what I advise? Not usually, and not knowing YOUR substrate, you could sacrifice approx 1 inch of height for concrete backer board, and tile over. That suggests tiling a floor.

I tiled my entire shower area in the same tile, BUT had to install backer board to secure it better than the thin wall fiber board in the mobile.

I won't detail the steps here, but I tile every day of my life otherwise, and would be OK to define the steps.

Just my two "sense"

Actually I'm considering removing the wall/shower tile and installing sealed Cedar of Cypress in the entire bathroom
