Need Help with Bathroom Makeover...?

I am in the process of redecorating my home. I am working on my guest bathroom and I am stuck. I HATE the layout of the tub and I am considering a tiled shower stall.

How hard is it to install tile? Any tips or pointers?

Installing the large tiles looks easy enough. I would get some grout and go to work, especially if I had some time on my hands. Those tiny tiles look like a pain to install, so I would opt for a professional instead.
