How To Cut Ceramic Tile

How can I cut pre-installed tiles?

I am installing floating wood floors into an area of my house that is partially covered with ceramic tile. Some tiles intersect the threshold of one room to the next (the next being one I want to leave tiled). Is there a way to cut those tiles at the threshold without having to remove, reinstall, and regrout?

You can cut already installed tiles with a dry saw with a ceramic or masonry blade. Or even a 4" dry cut blade on a grinder or angle grinder. Even a masonry blade on a saws all may work depending on just what and how you have to cut them.. All these ways are a dusty mess so have an extra hand there with a shop vac if possible. Plus wear eye and ear protection, so chips and dust doesn t get in your ears ( yes I m serious and this from personal experience.)
