Our mosaics are authentically Moroccan scale in our production unit in Fez, Morocco.

Making raw materials for tile and mosaics of Morocco:

Once the mosaic Morocco and Morocco are the chosen color mosaics, raw materials are produced by a potter, or "Fkhar", which is responsible for hand mixing of clay, sun drying, the mixture of colors of glazes, and firing of raw materials in a traditional beehive style oven. The tile pieces are typically 5 "x 5" square tiles that are rough around the edges, called lajoura "before the hand-chiseled.

After the ceramic tile is baked in the oven and classified materials premiums that are given to our master cutter, "Maalam Nakache," the hand chisels the desired pattern by reducing small geometric pieces called "ferma" of 5 "x 5" ceramic tiles. This step is very important since it is crucial that the "Ferma" align perfectly with the other to create high quality mosaics. Once the master sample, "Nakache Maalam" distributed "ferma" cut between cutting equipment consists of ten fifteen cutters. The cutters then use hand chisels to cut thousands of small geometric pieces that make up the mosaic. The prototype created by "Maalam Nakache is as important as mosaic work of building architectural drawings.

Assembly of the mosaics in Morocco

After of the pieces have been carved mosaic tile master the craft, the "Maalam Ferach" and his team started the assembly of small pieces laying mosaic geometric tile upside down to ensure a uniform surface on the face of the tile. This is very laborious work, as "Maalam Ferach" has to grind most of the pieces, "ferma" in default sizes based on repetition of tile pattern, "tarbiaa" to produce perfect geometric harmony the desired pattern. This process is called "slake". "Maalam Ferach" and then disperses cement and lime dust in the back of the tile and spray a small amount of water on top to keep "ferma" instead. This process makes the mosaic assembly ready for final assembly that is to cover the back of the tiles with a mixture of family secret.

Clean

Cleaning is the last step in making collages. After leaving assembled tiles dry for 24 hours, the panels of mosaic was lifted and cleaned thoroughly before packaging.
