we have a house of logs and clay soil is reactive, meaning that the soil is dry and can push some of the stumps, causing a hump. The previous owner laid on the floor tiles that are broken. Since most of these tables have been set directly into the soil particle board, eliminating of the tables is not really an option. Also uses twin cement tile much! We buy vinyl flooring and have been advised to put some kind of coating on floor level, then put the vinyl. This layer must have some kind of bending or breakage. (Tap the pen is suggested) so this is caused by lack of moisture in the soil due to ongoing drought here in Australia, this will be a continuing problem. Any suggestions very welcome! As we are running out of money, if anyone can suggest some kind of coating ourselves we could do that would be a comprehensive final, and not place vinyl, that would be fantastic! Removing the tile is your only option, sorry ... The reason are the pictures of cracks and continue to do so is never put tiles on partical ..
