How do I remove thin-set mortar old, because I want to put new tile.?
We were able to remove old ceramic, but the mortar is very close to the concrete slab.
Rent a jackhammer chipping a tennis tools or home center. Works great. After my weekend removing tiles and thin. Makes a large mesh, but it goes fast!

When I thinset mortar mix (the kind of powder in paper bag) for a ceramic tile floor. How much water should I put in 1 gallon of dust. Basically what I need to know why. Thanks
Add a small amount of water to a time.Stir and keep adding water and stirring until it has the consistency of mashed thick potato. When spread with the trowel should have small ridges that up, if not, then it's too watery.
