Ceramic Tile Design
Question for intro to logic and design?
Write pseudocode for the looping() module and the menu() module in a single-level menu driven program that can be used by a flooring company to estimate the cost of flooring. In the menu() module allow the user to select from the following options: carpeting, ceramic tile, hardwood, and quit.
This really isn't that hard - pseudo code basically means 'plain English', there's no specific syntax you need to use, just explain as simply as you can, in plain English, what your program needs to do.
For instance, you might start with:
start menu module
clear the screen
print on a line "Select from one of the following:"
print on a line "1. carpeting"
...
prompt "please select an option"
capture user choice as 'selected option'
if 'selected option' is '1' then start carpeting module
...
end menu module
and so on...
this is a very important and useful exercise to master and after 10+ years of software engineering I still use this technique except I write them as comments in my code, which means I end up with documented code as a side effect!
