Is anyone else sick to death of the home makeover and property shows?
Having little do during the summer I noticed an alarming number of television programs involving houses and how they can be improved by its owners, or where to buy a 3-semi bed in a quiet cul de sac - usually organized by the presenters petulant, self-satisfied who think the show is about anyway! And half time the people there do not even buy the house, even after the dining room cry is "ideal for entertaining guests." (Who does that anyway?) "No, I do not like - the bathroom is 18 inches shorter than what we are looking for." "I do not like the curtains - that are in red. "I have a theory that these programs are solely responsible for the property boom and why first-time buyers like me can not get on the scale of the property. Any more hate with a passion? Thank goodness fill my days now, so I never see one again.
I totally agree! People in these programs are so cocky and middle class - who cares if the room is "ideal for entertaining guests" more importantly the speed with which my other half messy baby son and I turn into a bombsite? Also why show during the day when all who could afford to buy a of these houses ( "only" £ 350,000 - as a "compact") is at work and only the unemployed, the unemployed and mothers at home-I (none of which have 2 pennies to scratch with our backsides) are watching?
